Hi,

That was a nice read!, you have always thought deeply about things...I suppose we can say our Lord Jesus wrote off our bad debts?! no?

"...At the end of the day, how you feel, the financial health of the organization, you and your fellow men, will depend on how accurate and how good your books are."

Thank God I feel Balanced!...well, I was out by a cent or two the other day, but I am ok now!

My comment is far shorter than what your blog has caused me to think about ... nice!.

Kind Regards,
Kajani, Malawi.

One of my previous jobs before I became an accountant, many years ago, was in a Human Resources department. My boss had rather a dim view of accountants - he said that all you needed to be an accountant was to have a desk with two drawers. In the left hand drawer you put a piece of paper with 'debit' written on it; in the right hand drawer a piece of paper with 'credit' written on it, and you could never go wrong!

My current boss tells a story of her first manager telling her that, "There's no such thing as 'not balancing'; if all the debits and credits are there, it HAS to balance!

I have to say that I do not share your religious faith, but I enjoy reading your thoughtful blog here (I've just discovered it!) and also your blog at Chess.com.

I hope you have a very pleasant Christmas holiday and a Happy New Year!

Hi MMiller! It is always nice to have people stop by - and it is extra special when people leave comments. So you have made my day! I am glad to hear that you enjoyed my post. Thanks for wishing me luck... I think I need it to stay on track.
Take care.

Thanks, Dr. Armbrust, for the information. I visited your website and found nice information, and I also found this article about Nina and how you are working to honor the legacy of this legendary lady: http://www.hendersonvillenews.com/article/20070828/NEWS/70828003/1151/NEWS/Tryon_welcomes_Nina_Simone_home - Keep up the great work you are doing. I was just wondering why you do not have a link for donations at your website...

Another nice intro to Nina can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nina_Simone
